FIFA stands for “Federation Internationale de Football Association” in French. In English, it is also known as the International Federation of Association Football. FIFA is an international ruling body that governs, manages, operates and promotes association football, futsal and beach soccer among the nations.
What is the Full Form of FIFA
Federation Internationale de Football Association was established on May 21, 1904. The major seven national associations — Belgium, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland — created the association to “promote the game of Football (as opposed to rugby or American football), to enhance build up the strong relations among National Associations, Confederations, and their officials and players. The association is achieving its goal by promoting the organization of football matches at all levels, and to manage and operate every type of association football by taking right initiation as shall be deemed necessary or advisable.”
